  • Six days, five nights accommodations at our magical eco-resort. 
  • Three nutritious, locally-sourced vegan meals daily. Dinner included on arrival day and breakfast included on the departure day.

Meet Your Teachers

Abbe

Abbe's retreats are specifically designed to take you deeper into your practice, to peel away the layers of doubt and self-limiting behavior. Her classes inspire strength, growth and presence, all the while fostering a joyful environment where students can playfully discover their evolutionary edge.

During classes with Abbe, explore the universal concepts of alignment and effort in the body and mind- the big ideas of how to move better, practice confidently and live consciously. Expect to flow, move, dance, laugh and most importantly, dive deeply into yourself. Abbe’s life is built around growth, and that is what she will inspire in you.

With over a thousand hours of training under her belt, Abbé has a comprehensive background in yoga and movement. She holds a 500hr in Vinyasa Yoga, 300hr in Fluidus Method, L1 Certification in Animal Flow, and two certifications in Thai Massage and Advanced Tissue Bodywork. Forever a student, Abbe is completing a 200hr in Budokon under the guidance of Cameron and Melayne Shane.

​Abbe is also the owner of Troy City Yoga Studio, Wonderland Yoga Studio and the Solar Flow 200 Hour & 300 Hour Yoga Schools.

Shireena

Growing up a dancer, Shireena traveled to discover cultures through music, dance and movement which has widely inspired her uniquely choreographed, fun, creative and empowering classes. She stumbled upon a yoga class and discovered how yoga, dance and music perfectly complement each other leaving her soul and being in a state of trance. She truly enjoys creating and innovating unique sequences and offering one that'll resonate with people's bodies and souls.

​With diligent cueing and teachings, fluid transitions, breath work and a holistic environment, sharing her passion for yoga, is the ideal practice for Shireena. 

Shireena completed her 200hr teacher training at Back Bay Yoga in Boston with Lynne Begier , Caitlyn Graham and Ryan Cunningham, 50hr mentorship with Felipe Gonzalez, Catie Macken, Jess Ray and Erica Bornstein and is completed her 300hr in Bali under the ShivaKali School. She has extensive training in Kirtan, hip-hop yoga and completed teacher training with Jess Ray and Erica Bornstein. She has also completed several flight schools and workshops with Ragunath, Caitlyn Graham and Renee LeBlanc. ​

From Bali, to Costa Rica, to Greece and anywhere in between, transformational retreats are their passion.
Abbe has led seven groups to Mexico alone, and it continues to be one of her favorite places to retreat.

Following traditional and eco-construction principles the bungalows were constructed by local artisans using natural materials.

Every bungalow displays a unique art collection by Cuban artist Yunior Marino and has a spacious terrace perfect for relaxing, working, or just listening to the ocean.

Our eco-retreat center offers chill common areas, like the pool, a big open kitchen, and a yoga rooftop.

​The pool is particularly special. Cleaned by a system of natural filters without the use of harsh chemicals or chlorine (and Juan makes sure the water is always enjoyable.)

​They are continuously growing and expanding, so during your stay, you may hear a minimum of noise but it shouldn’t interfere with your tranquility

Considerations

Keep in mind, this is an eco-retreat center.
While there is no AC, these earthen homes are specifically designed to keep you cool and dry.
And being only a 9 minute walk to the beach, we have a constant ocean breeze.

Booking Flights:

  • We recommend flying with Delta out of Boston and into Puerto Escondito International Airport. The flight path we like takes you from Boston with either a stop in Atlanta or Miami, sometimes Detriot, and then to Mexico City. From Mexico City, it's a short flight to Puerto Escondido. You can check out some flight path options below.
  • Want to extend your stay? So do we! Many of us will be arriving early and staying late. If you are flexible and would like to squeeze in a bit more sand & sun, let us know and we can help set up accommodations.
  •  Want to explore Mexico City? If you have never been to Mexico City  and would like to do some exploring there, let us know and we can help arrange flights. Mexico City is beautiful, magical and has an incredible culture and food scene. ​

Arriving to the Retreat Center:

  • Check in starts at 3pm. Refreshments & lunch will be served upon arrival. The retreat officially begins with an opening circle and yoga at 6:30pm followed by our welcome family dinner. 
  • Airport Transfers: We’ll collect your flight details and help set up shared rides. Taxi will cost between $40-60 per person. If you are arranging your own transport to the retreat, the address is: Barbarenas, Calle Conejos, Brisas de Zicatela, 70934 Puerto Escondido, Oax., Mexico​
  • Check out is at 12 pm, so we suggest midday or evening flights out.

FAQs

  • What if I need a roomie? Traveling solo but want a shared room? We will do our very best to pair you up with a roommate. In the rare case that we are unable to secure a bunk mate, you will have the option to purchase a private upgrade or switch to your next available room choice.
  • How are meals served? Meals are served family style.
  • What is an Eco-Resort? As with all of our retreats, this is an Eco-Resort, meaning it is built with sustainable materials, operates with a low or zero carbon footprint and structures are interspersed with nature. Dining is outside. Many rooftops are woven grass and palms. Bathrooms might be open-air and nature is abundant. For those who love to connect with the magic of mother earth and have an adventure spirit- this is the retreat for you!
  • Where is the retreat center?  We are nestled in the most gorgeous beach town, just a few minutes walk from the ocean. Want to get some shopping or nightlife in? We are a 9 minute scenic walk from all the area has to offer.
  • What if I have diet restrictions? We will try our best to accommodate all restrictions, but we must be notified ahead of time. Vegetarian options are available. Most dishes can be prepared daily free. 
  • Is alcohol included? We have an adorable little tiki bar, however drinks are not included. Bringing your own booze? There is a bottle-popping fee.

Terms & Conditions

  • To officially reserve your spot your deposit must be made within 24 hours of submitting reservation request.  Once you are officially added to the retreat your deposit is non-refundable.  All other payments are refundable up to 60 days before the retreat. Trips canceled within 60 days are not eligible for a refund, this is why Travel Insurance is mandatory.
  • All payments must be finalized by January 20th. Otherwise, late fees will be applied or your reservation and deposit will be forfeited.
  • All participants must sign our Retreat Waiver & Release. This will be emailed upon reservation.
  • Remember travel insurance! This is a requirement for everyone attending due to our strict no-refund policy.  If  something comes up suddenly and you are unable to attend, traveler's insurance will refund your investment or medical costs at a nominal fee (usually runs about $75- $120 to insure, offered by most credit cards).  We use Allianz. Also, in the extremely rare case that a retreat is rescheduled, travel insurance will refund your flight cost.  
  • We are not liable for cancellations, delays, changes or issues caused by circumstance outside our power: war, outbreaks (pandemics, epidemics), threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, visa suspensions, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances or other events beyond our control. This is why travel insurance is mandatory.
