Why we love Andrea
Andrea found her way to yoga as a means to help her cope with the physical and mental stress and strain of college athletics. That was 20 years ago. What started as a way to reach peak performance and help with her quest for a national title turned into a love affair to last a lifetime. Andrea discovers more and more about yoga, herself and this life each time she hits the mat. She considers yoga to be a practice and a way of life.
Andrea spends a lot of her free time geeking out over physical therapy and mobility movements. She infuses all of her flows with her most recent discoveries. Perhaps it's her background in athletics or that she came to the practice for recovery but her goal is to help people achieve a sense of ease in their bodies. She found that yoga is a practice that empowers and transforms. It challenges the body but more importantly the spirit in gentle and sometimes not so gentle ways. It requires connection, growth and surrender. Andrea was certified at Back Bay Yoga in 2011. She is still inspired by the Boston yoga community and continues to travel regionally and globally to seek out her favorite teachers.
